Philipp Lengeling is an attorney based in New York, New York. Philipp is a graduate of the University of Cologne, Germany, where he obtained a Magister iuris degree and passed the First State Exam (“Erste Staatsprüfung”). He began his legal studies at the University of Heidelberg and then transferred to the University of Cologne in order to specialize in German and European Media Law with a focus on EU Privacy Law.

While working for RafterMarsh, Philipp attended the LL.M. (Master of Laws) program of Fordham Law School in New York City until May, 2018, where he graduated cum laude (placed in top 10%) receiving an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law. At Fordham Law School, he was awarded with the Emily C. and John E. Hansen Award for attaining the highest cumulative grades within the Intellectual Property and Information Technology Program. Philipp is currently an Adjunct Professor at Fordham Law and continues to support LL.M. students seeking to become admitted attorneys in New York.

He is a member of the DAJV (German-American Lawyers‘ Association) and several U.S. based bar associations, such as the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Out of the office, Philipp immerses himself in music by playing the keyboard, the guitar and as a producer in numerous music projects.
